Crafty Projects and a Pretty, Pretty Princess

Yesterday I was feeling crafty, so I made this dress for Kensley. Tonight after work I took the dress over for Kensley to model for the camera. Here is the pretty, pretty princess:

I Miss Blogging!!!

I am so busy these days it keeps me from blogging on a regular basis. I miss blogging!!!

Here is a quick update:
I am out of training at work. I am loving my job and the friends I have made there.

I'm starting graduate school in July. I have decided to pursue my MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Mgmt.

I have been going to the gym on a regular basis since April. I have a great set up since my employer has a gym at the office. I also have a personal trainer. My trainer, Ashley, totally rocks!!

I'm still trying to find time to be crafty, but I don't have much these days. I am for once behind in my scrapbooking. ::GASP:: I am NEVER behind!!! I have been working on another painting for my friend Jamekra to put in her nursery. I will post a pic when I am done.

Hopefully next week I will get to post more frequently soon!

Girl's Night

It's been months since Lauren, Lindsay and me have been able to find time all three of us could get together for a girl's night at the same time. We have a great time! Started with dinner at Olive Garden, shopping at Opry Mills and watched the movie Hangover. My cheeks hurt from laughing so much during the movie. I would totally go back to college to be able to see these girls three days a week during classes!!! Lauren and Linds have become such wonderful friends!!! Here are a few pics from out girl's night.

Also, thanks to Amy who made me a new header for my blog! Please keep Amy, Steven and the kids in your prayers as Steven's troop prepares to leave for Kuwait within the next two weeks. Steven had a pass last weekend and was able to come visit everyone before he leaves the States. It was great to visit with him again before he heads overseas.

Elephants, Elephants, Elephants...

In my training class at work I met an awesome new friend named Jamekra. A week into training I found out she was expecting. We've become great friends over the last two and half months and I have been very excited to help her start getting her nursery together. Jamekra picked out a super cute nursery theme from JC Penny's that is chocolate brown and green with elephants. After seeing the super cute theme I convinced Jamekra we could do the wall art ourselves. I've painted one time prior to this painting adventure, but figured it couldn't be that hard! It took me about six hours all together to paint three elephant canvases. Here they are:

Strawberry Festival

Last Saturday I went to the Strawberry Festival in Adairville, KY with Lauren, Jason and Jake. Lauren's son Jake is only a few weeks younger than Colten, so Amy let me take him along for the fun. We got to see the life flight helicopter, pet horses, see the fire engine, play carnival games, ride carnival rides, watch a a parade on the square and have some yummy food.

Eating the best homemade ice cream ever!!! It was my non-diet treat for the weekend. I've never had banana flavored ice cream before, but it was fabulous!!!



Colten and Jake both got water gun prizes during the day. Once we were waiting for the parade to start the water gun wars started.

Pooped out from a long day with Aunt Chas!!! Colten fell asleep after five minutes in the car on the ride home. I had so much fun at the Strawberry Festival!!! I plan to go back next year!

May Flowers

Life has been super busy since I started my job in April, but mainly with work and going to the gym. I have been working on getting things worked out to start graduated school in July. I am going to start working on my MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Mangement.

Angel Day

Yesterday was Angel Day. It's the day where my family celebrates Brandon's life. It's the anniversary of the day he left this world to spend eternity in Heaven. Everyday I think of Brandon. Everyday I miss Brandon. Everyday I strive to live my life like Brandon lived his touching other people's lives. Everyday I am thankful for the almost twenty two years I was blessed to have Brandon in my life.

I wanted to blog about Brandon yesterday, but I wasn't able to put together what I wanted to say. So today I am sharing. I celebrate Brandon's life everyday, not just on May 13th. I always feel his presence on my commute to and from work. I have a 45 minute drive to work on country roads with miles and miles of farm land. Brandon was a cowboy and when I see those farms, John Deere tractors and farm animals, I can't help but think of him. My heart still aches from losing him, but one way I find peace is being reminded when I am driving to and from work is that Brandon is in Heaven where he is in the best rodeo of his life.
